Profiles Beta 2 is here - 7/6/2010 2:33:52 AM

There has been a huge makeover with the profiles and they work a little differently than intended from the get go
Visual Basic Online is focused around Visual Basic as well as asp.net.
The profile fields allow you to spacificly share what programming programs you like to use and share your experience with them.
You can add thumbnails by copying and pasting a image url, i am working on allowing upload via your desktop but might be awhile for that.
The Browse page allows you to view all postings users has made or you can filter all posts by a individual user.
Right now it only runs from a drop down list.
You can Edit your content at any time from the My Account link at the top of the pages.
To get a better feel for it, dive in and check it out, see how it works and just play around with it.

Oh yeah, i forgot to mention...The NEW profiles are here! :)

The users profile has been pushed out in Beta.
It may not be set up the best way but the functionality is there and that's what i worry about right now.
I will be working on laying them out a little neater in time but i need to make sure that it's working the way intended.
A couple small changes have been made.
Youtube and facebook users you insert into your profile are linkable so other users can click to view your profile.
When filling out the website URL be sure to put the http://www or users will get a error when navigating to your site.
I will be changing this so you don't have to insert the http://www.

I am in the middle of working on a Profile section which will allow users to create a little profile.
I plan to progress with the features of the profile section as time goes on.
So far things are going well and i hope to have this feature rolled out by Monday.
This feature will allow you to share some basic information about yourself.

A users section will also be available which will allow you to view other members profile.

If you have been here before than you may have noticed a make over to the site...mainly with the design and layout of the content.
Alot more content will be added and more functionality will be added to the site as it progresses so be sure to stay tuned for that.
Right now i'm working on the Admin side as well as some more functionality.
